Budget travel tips
- Great as a day trip from Fukuoka if you need to experience a bit more culture and history. Consider the Fukuoka Tourist City Pass if coming from Fukuoka.
- Early January is a good time to come here for the blossoms.
How to get there
From Tenjin station in Fukuoka, take the Nishitetsu line to Dazaifu station (35 minutes, 400 yen). The shrine is a short, easy 5 minute walk from the station.
