Grutto Pass


Are you into art and museums? Then this could be an awesome pass if you don’t want to spend hideous amounts of money on museum tickets. The Grutto Pass ( ぐるっとパス) provides free admission or discounts to 78 art galleries, museums, zoos and more in Tokyo.

Is it worth it?

Unlike in Europe, most museums and some art galleries in Tokyo charge an entry fee, even for permanent exhibitions. If you want to visit many in Tokyo, you will really start to save some money. See all the accessible locations and discounts here.

What are the rules?

  • Valid for 2 months from first use.

Where can I buy it?

The pass is available at any of the 78 locations, such as Ueno Zoo or the Edo-Tokyo Museum and Tourist Information centers.

How do I use it?

Just show the Grutto Pass ticket booklet at each location, and the staff will tick you off and give you the discounted price, or let you in for free!
